Massimo Mazzon was born in Mestre, Italy. At an early age, he learned about painting from his older sister Mara. At 16 he traveled out of his native town to the city of Paris, where he visited Le Louvre, Le Musee d’Orsay and l’Orangerie. This trip was an illuminating experience as it gave him the chance to appreciate the immense collection of masters and absorb the essence of art in one of its most celebrated breeding grounds. At the age of 17, Massimo had sold his first painting and created many copies of post-impressionist artists. In his early twenties, he continued this art making experience in spite of different occupations and it was not until college years that he formally entered an art school. Massimo’s experience in painting and drawing slowly evolved from a casual recreation into a full-time profession and lifelong vocation.
Massimo holds a BA degree in Art from California State University and a Master in Fine Arts at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
